Lastly, as someone who received a surprise Lego Empire State Building from my housemate last Christmas I can tell you that nothing really beats the pure ecstasy and nostalgia of opening a brand new Lego set as you proceed to carefully read the instructions booklet and painstakingly assemble a masterpiece. The fact that it took two grown men three full days to complete is irrelevant.
